Terms of Service

Last updated 28 July 2026

These terms govern your use of Seltra, accounting software for Australian solo operators and small businesses. By creating an account, you agree to them.

The service

Seltra costs $12 AUD/month, with a 14-day free trial — no card required to start. We may change pricing in the future; if we do, we'll give existing subscribers advance notice before any change takes effect for them.

Subscription, billing, and cancellation

Your trial starts when you create your business and lasts 14 days, free, with no payment details required. After your trial, continuing to use Seltra requires an active subscription.

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Settings — depending on when you cancel, you may retain access until the end of your current billing period. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

If a payment fails, we'll retry it automatically. If it continues to fail, your access may be paused until it's resolved — your data isn't deleted while a subscription is merely unpaid, only if you delete your account outright (see “Ending your account” below).

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account, including anyone you invite as a collaborator (e.g. an accountant or bookkeeper). Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorised access.

Your data

You own the business, transaction, invoice, and contact data you put into Seltra. We don't claim any ownership over it, and we only use it to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter — Seltra is a bookkeeping tool, not a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice, and doesn't lodge anything with the ATO on your behalf.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Seltra for any unlawful purpose, or to process data you don't have the right to.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Resell or provide the service to third parties without our agreement.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Seltra reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may be added, changed, or removed as we improve the service.

Disclaimer and liability

Seltra is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.

Ending your account

You can stop using Seltra and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. Deleting an account permanently removes its business data — there's no recovery period, so export anything you need first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and let you know of any significant changes.
